Context

BATTERS phase 2 is a collaborative project led by WeLOOP and Ailoop, with co-financing from the Hauts-de-France Region and the European Union through the Just Transition Funds. The aim of this second phase is to continue the structuring the battery industry in Hauts-de-France, in response to environmental and social regulatory.
This objective will be achieved by building a collaborative platform for all players and all batteries (large and small mobility, stationary, industrial, etc.).
The kick-off meeting was held on 24 June 2025 and brought together around fifty participants from across the entire battery value chain : consultancy offices, engineering companies, manufacturers involved in production, storage and recycling of batteries, as well as local authorities, public institutions, competitiveness clusters, technical centres, and academic and research establishments.
WeLOOP and Ailoop have made progress on building the platform, and now stakeholders are invited to participate in the workshops to share their ideas and concerns. To this end, three workshops on various themes are being organised from February to July 2026.
The goal: co-develop this platform to strengthen innovation, cooperation between stakeholders, and anticipation of regulatory developments.
